Junior High is a pain...
I'm finding out who my real friends are, how life really is and how it will always be, all the different stereotypes and so forth
It's hard
I often find myself saying, "i wish i were older" or "i wish i looked like her"
No, no,no,no,NO!
I got it all wrong. i need to be t.h.a.n.k.f.u.l for who i am and what i was blessed with
I'm tired of trying to hard
I LOVE my life, and the people in it...i need to take time to enjoy all the people that are in my life..
That being said..I'm following Shelby Lesueurs idea and giving up Facebook
Just for a couple weeks or maybe months

Is Junior High really supposed to be this tough on you? Yeah, i know I'm getting into the "teenage" life but why the heck is it getting so hard?! I have to make decisions i never thought i would have to make..i find myself standing up for more and more people everyday..
I'm trying my best
BUT, the one positive to this...is...
The other day, (more like 2 or so weeks ago) a little 7th grade boy & girl came up to me and asked if i were a Mornon? yes, they said mornon...
Of course i said yes, i am Mormon..why, whats up?
The boy continues to talk, "Well, the other day we were hanging out with a group of mornon kids and they were talking about mutual and going to the...temple?...what the heck are temples?"
So i explained...
Then the girl smiled and said, "you know Olivia, i can tell you're a Mornon..you always have a smile on your face and you never...never let anyone be sad or left out. you are an example to everyone around you...especially me. i've been watching you lately and everyday you surprise me with something new"
i don't think I've ever smiled so big in my life- it seriously hit me
(and yes, they kept calling me a MORNON)

Yes, everyone has their ups and downs and i know mine are just getting started...but hey, with a positive attitude and true friends...
you're set.
(Just thought i should share some thoughts)

ReplyDeleteIt's true Livy, you are such a great example to SO many people around you. Your positive attitude radiates for miles and is contagious to all that come in contact with you. You are a beacon, and I know that Heavenly Father is so proud of who you are. Keep it up girl!
