I'm missing her today.
I love you, Londy Lou
With just one pink blossom and four strong white,
The "buds" grew together so warm and so bright.
Each one slowly opened to some degree,
Only one, though, sees through eternity.
Four brothers came first so strong and true,
Welcomed some pink, a wondrous hue.
Born in the car, it's London Annette!
A family so happy, without one regret.
She brought so much joy to the Solly crew,
Heather was glad, a change from all blue.
The babe grew so quick, sharper than most.
even took her a-travelin' to see the East Coast.
It's off to the ball games, swimming and fun,
Her little brown body soaking up sun.
A daughter of God, she knew who she was,
Her parents taught this without any fuzz.
Her life flowed like water, surrounded by love,
This little pink rose, sent from above.
But, waters turn icy without any notice.
The savior stands ready, to love and tote us.
With so many questions, tests and concerns
A sick little child her family soon learns,
Has a rare cancer and treatments they'll try.
With hears nearly breaking they work and they cry.
London's life now is odd, so different from others,
She lives at the hospital without her 4 brothers.
Her mom is so solid and living there too,
Her dad takes the boys, he knows what to do.
The stories are told of cartwheels and shots,
Kind nurses, pain, prayers and stomachs in knots.
We all felt so helpless, close friends did their best,
but only the Father can put nerves to rest.
Revelation came flowing, death hung overhead.
So much began happening, let's recount without dread.
A thought came to Cheryl to have "London's Run",
To help raise some money for all that was done
Grandpa Solomon left Earth, sad hearts there remain.
Knowing his heart, we can bear through the pain.
Birthday party for London, to be 7 is GREAT!
No one was quite sure what would yet be her fate.
Christmas drew near, making plans everyone.
How could we know London's life was all done?
With family called in we said our good-byes,
To this pink innocent rose. No! - a butterfly!
Her spirit did soar, her pain was all gone.
More family was there, to heaven she's drawn.
An incredible funeral, no one was the same.
She left us all different, this life's not a game.
Who can gathom the pain of the ones she left here?
The Savior will help them, her memory is dear.
Three lon years later, "time" softens the feeling
Of broken hearts mending. Saviors balm does the healing.
The 4 strong white roses continue to blossom.
On to serve missions, to watch them is awesome.
the pink rose lives on, her bedroom is busy
With little girl's laughter, sometimes in a tizzy.
Without comprehension, others only can pray.
London's birthday, her 10th, is this special day!
that is incredibly sweet dear. definetly brought tears to my eyes. im sure she was a beautiful girl.
